EMPIRE TRAILS 2018-04-30T09:31:51+00:00

The Empire Trails is one of the largest and most diverse single track trail systems in Eastern Canada.  Experience it for yourself!

Mountain biking and trail building first began in Gore over 20 years ago in 1995. The Blois family and friends, led by older brother Beau, began building trails on the family farm. Word soon spread within the mountain biking community and riders began coming out to experience Gore’s exciting and diverse trails.

You will find the Empire Trails in Gore, Nova Scotia at the base of Courthouse Hill and Rawdon Hills.  Gore is half way between Truro and Windsor and only 45 minutes north of Halifax.

The civic address is #2001, Hwy 202

Quality of Trails

The trails system consists of over 20kms of smooth and well-groomed trails, with big bridges and berms, a variety of elevations and scenic terrain with picturesque views.  We also have a 100m dirt jump pump track under construction!

The Empire Trails are designed for all skill levels with detailed trail mapping found both online and onsite, are posted throughout the trails.

Empire Trail Map

The Empire Trails are located along the Rawdon Hills in the valley of Gore.  This area is very hilly and there is a large gorge running through the centre of the trail system.  Established in 1995 the trail system now has 20kms of well groomed trails designed to challenge every skill level and age group.   Our trails have been professionally mapped and are now posted online and posted throughout the trails at each intersection with a “You Are Here” icon.

Trails have been named with difficulty level colour coded comparable to those used on ski hills.  You won’t get lost experiencing some of the most amazing trails in Eastern Canada!
